Use  Morse End-Over-End Drum Rotators tumble a drum to mix and blend the contents. Turning drum End-Over-End with a drum tumbler provides a more aggressive mixing action.

Morse End-Over-End Drum Tumblers turn your sealed 55-gallon (208 liter) steel drum end-over end to mix separated ingredients back into suspension right inside.

Drum tumbling provides thorough mixing action to:

Load drum with your hoist or crane, or with optional Load Crane, and the model 41 or 41M Drum Lifting Hook included with each End-Over-End Drum Tumbler.

Load Crane

Load Crane for self-contained loading capability has a short piece of alloy lifting-chain with a connector to attach the Drum Lifting Hook. The Load Crane uses the Drum Lifting Hook to engage a horizontal drum. The lifting range and pivot travel of the Load Crane enables lifting a horizontal drum from floor in front of the drum tumbler up to and into one drum-holder of the drum tumbler, and back again.

Order ONE load crane for single drum tumbler. Order TWO load cranes for a double drum tumbler.

  • Model 300LC - Load Crane factory installed: welded to right side of 1-300 or 2-300 end-over-end drum rotator.
  • Model 300LCL - Load Crane factory installed: welded to left side of double end-over-end drum rotator.

  • Model 300LCF - Load Crane for field installation. Bolt to right side of your 1-300 or 2-300 end-over-end drum rotator.
  • Model 300LCFL - Load Crane for field installation. Bolt to left side of your double end-over-end drum rotator.

The Load Crane assists in loading a drum into the tumbler for those without a hoist over the machine. A more ergonomic solution for the same application is provided by the Tilt-to-Load Drum Tumblers with power lift of an upright drum from floor level.

Note: OSHA Requirement for enclosure with safety interlock Install all Morse Rotators in accordance with OSHA requirements for enclosure and safety interlock, etc. so the rotator automatically turns off when enclosure door is opened. One way to accomplish this is with a Morse enclosure with safety interlock.

For OSHA compliance, see OSHA subpart O.1910.212(a)(4) "Barrels, containers, and drums. Revolving drums, barrels, and containers shall be guarded by an enclosure which is interlocked with the drive mechanism, so that the barrel, drum, or container cannot revolve unless the guard enclosure is in place."

Power connections and motor controls must comply with applicable codes.

Explosion Proof motors are rated for Class I Group D, and Class II Groups F and G.

Air motors are vane-type and require correctly sized filter, regulator, lubricator, valve FRL) and piping supplied by customer.

Half-full rating is an indication of capacity for tilting an unbalanced, bottom-heavy drum. Partially full drum with unbalanced and shifting load is harder to tilt than a full drum.
