|Drum Handlers Built to Last|
Watch this PBS Video (...fast forward to 26:04) to see a Morse drum handler still going strong after 20 years. We manufactured this drum handler in 1998. It is used in the Monks' bakery at Holy Cross Abbey in the pastoral Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.
A National Geographic article discussed how, "These Monks Saved Their Abbey by Protecting the Earth," through sustainable practices in their lives... and on their land. The monks were great practitioners of prayer and chants. However, they had concerns about most other aspects of life within the cloistered order. Now welcome people from outside for weekend retreats to experience life as a monk. And even welcome others to be buried in their "natural" cemetery.
The Morse Hydra-Lift Karrier at the abbey has a custom stainless steel holder for their 100 quart mixing bowl used for controlled pouring of fruitcake batter.
